things i looked forward to
it was may 2005 when i listed down the 10 things i was looking forward to. the list ranged from the petty (having the complete hair spa treatment), to the weighty (houses turned into dream homes), to the gudlak-sana-magkatotoo-yan (winning the lottery).

now, 1 year, 2 months, and 2 days after, i realize that most of my wishes have come true. it didn't happen all at the same time. over the course of 14 months, my wishes materialized one by one.

1. weekends usually call for 9:00 mornings in bed
2. it's been almost a year since my parents arrived from guam. true enough, they were in high spirits once they got back.
3. just recently, we had the kitchen tiles installed. we also had a little bit of the mosaic style going in the garage steps.
4. i've had a facial about a month ago, and had my hair straightened before the end of 2005.
5. boracay, boracay. true enough, we stacked up on batteries and bought a memory stick before the trip. result: sangdamakmak na pictures which i have yet to post.
6. coffee and cigarettes in the afternoon. during the weekends. pure bliss.
7. we recently purchased a tangerine mitsubishi mirage. not exactly the van i hoped for, but it takes us places. and most importantly, i am late less often.
8. house in cavite underwent a major renovation last year. xty and i have a room there now.

i am actually disappointed at myself for not realizing this sooner, but 2005 has been good. 8 out of 10, baby.

para na rin akong tumama sa lotto.

Congratulations on meeting your goals and realizing your wishes. Four years ago, a friend said, "The harder you dream it, the sooner it will come true (Akira Kurosawa)," when I prayed to the high heavens to make it here. I am very, very happy for you and Kom and I hope to get a ride in your new van soon! :o)
