| forgetful lucy |
my memory is just soooo bad. i've been steadily losing it, and am constantly hounded by remarks (both sarcastic and polite) to take memory pills to bring it back to its former glory of 10-20 years ago.
in elementary thru high school, i was always the class representative for declamation/oration contests. after forgetting the lines to "four score and seven years ago", it went downhill from there. goodbye glory days.
just last sunday:
location: tanza, cavite
me: sa baclaran ba tayo mag chowking o sa cubao na?
xty: pwede rin sa cubao.
me: ok rin sa cubao para makasakay agad tayo ng bus pagkatapos.
location: baclaran
me: sa cubao na tayo kumain ng halo-halo.
xty: sige.
location: cubao
me: kakain pa ba tayo ng halo-halo?
xty: (tired of the conversation) bahala ka.
just yesterday
location: chowking cubao
me: hindi yata ako nakakain ng langka sa halo-halo ko.
xty: tinanggal ko pa nga langka sa bibig mo eh.
well pardon me. i totally forgot.
sometimes i wonder if i am just inattentive. xty says i'm indecisive. i guess most of the time, i'm just forgetful. and that scares me. |
